Motovert RX125

Well it's been a while since i last posted something useful, so here is the latest purchase



Pretty much a standard RX125 atm, with the addition of an exhaust. Engine has done bugger all, 50km's max I've spent the past month getting everything in RWC condition and hopefully registered. Not a great deal of info out there so have been asking a heap of questions. So far i've added: Indicators (will get smaller ones), brake switch, mirrors, new headstem bearing, chain guard, changed brake fluid, speedo sensor. Hopefully get it sorted this Friday.

Not a lot planned so far, but new chain and sprockets (up one tooth), iridium plug, 1/4 turn throttle, 24mm OKO carb, unifilter will be on my shortlist.

Have changed the oil 3 times with still a milky residue (no coolant in these), so hoppefully it just needs a decent run to burn off any contaminants.

Well got the RWC sorted today- Needed to tighten chain, tighten mirrors, noise test (got a dodgy one done for free), few bolts and secure the speedo sensor so hopefully be on the road next week! Fingers crossed

Look what happened today.....Fully licensed!!, i've waited 5 years to do this and the feeling is great!!!. Freedom on the roads with no issues with the bike



No issues so far with the bike, except first gear is useless so sprocket time it is. I dont know how people can max out at 80-90 either, i was revving its guts off at 65 (could go more but not pleasant), air filter in the works too.

Got a lot of weird looks/ had a few chats at the lights was priceless.

For those who are wondering the costs (i searched everywhere). to Rego this was $409 plus $75 for a RWC- not too bad considering

17/ 41 is what I have so 17 front should do fine. Motoverts have a weird rear sprocket mount which is a PITA to change

Well first round of mods saw a unifilter, 17 tooth front sprocket, new DID chain and a front fender. Having a few dramas with the sprocket....does this look right?

Not tightened up fully, looking at other photos, this seems to be the norm.

Can you please tell me where the compliance plate is on a RX125?

I could be looking at one later in the week.
