Make a monkey box for the 30th clone. It didn't sell for what I was after so I decided to mothball it (minus mothballs) I nick named it the monkey box. So boys and girls, seen i'm keeping it, I'll be lurking round here anoying ya's for a bit longer.

Here's my 'new' toy, 1998 XV1100. Hard to believe I sold a Z50, bought this, paid freight and still had more than $1600 change in my pocket.

Never worried about the polishing tarnishing
It seems to stay shiny on its own.

Small update on micro bike. I'm rebuilding it with a bigger motor, a whopping 30cc. It's 1/5 scale R/C buggy motor.

    micro bike engine.jpg

Also dropping the gearing 2:1 through a jack shaft. It was too high geared as it was, no guts off the mark. I'll replace threaded rod with bright steel rod.

I had to make a clutch housing to suit.

Other job is the green and the orange bikes. I sent them to my brother for paint job and the big apes at Startrack couriers smashed the crate on the return trip, damaging the orange one. GRRRR!

They sent me a claim form so I can't repair it till I know outcome of it.

As I'm down to only 2,465 jobs to do on my list, I thought I'd start another one. My brother's 1974 Yammy DT175 motor. Just a refresh with what's needed and a detail back to as good as I can get to new.

It's quite good for a motor that's nearly 25 years old.

Crikey, I won't show a picture of my shed. It looks like a rubbish tip after a nuclear bomb has gone off in it.

Same here - but add "too many" bikes to the explosion!

Got the micro bike painted today. I made a little wooden stand to hold bits, bit easier than hanging on hooks. Added a few old R/C car decals for extra speed.

After 20 years of using my bench grinder on the floor I finally made a pedestal stand for it

Funny you mentioned that as it now has a slight noise in the left side bearing when it first starts since I bolted it down.

Well, it was a sad day in shed yesterday. Dragged all the monkeybike stuff out to put on ebay, shouldn't be hard to find if anyone's interested. I'll still be haunting here so as to keep Dex in line. We all know how he can get carried away if not kept in check.
