    1991 custom Baja build

    Hi guys

I thought Iíd start a thread for my Baja that Iím building.

I recently purchased a Baja project from bullarab from this forum and a massive thanks to him for giving me the chance to start a bike that iv been wanting since I took the plung and got into these awesome bikes.

Seeing as the bike has come with a black re trimmed seat Iím going to go with the black as a bit of a theme and make it a lil different And have a few bits that are normally white on the Baja and make them black.

So far iv had a custom swingarm made to have the standard style but fit a 5.5 rear wheel
Iv dropped everything off to the powder coater and iv ordered everything to hopefully finish the bike.

    Specs are as follows

    5.5 rear custom swingarm

    Kitaco front disc brakes

    Daytona fork inserts

Takegawa botttom end with Taki 5 speed and Taki clutch

Top end is Daytona 124 twincam

    Over racing exhaust

And a heap of other bits but thatís the main stuff

Iíll keep pics coming once I get everything coming in and once iv started putting it together

    Cheers

Tinman it is a genuine seat but been re trimmed in black I did think about getting a red one but seeing as it’s not going to be an original looking bike I figured I’ll go with the seat and add a bit more black

I'll have a look tonight and see what the hubs etc look like on the Trex, could be an option. I know OORacing sell that setup.

Yeah I agree that’s why I’m thinking to shorten it up.

It looks worse in the pics not as bad in person but I’m still going to cut it

Agreed mate, I had been concentrating on getting my RGV done - but my heart still is strong for the Monkey.

I'll pull the J1 out and see what needs to be done on it to get RWC (125cc is all I can see as an issue), I cant see it being much at all as I had it all good before I stashed it away.
