    Ivan's A

Just throwing together one of my As. Been wanting to mod one for a while and was told not to cut my red complete one. Keeping it as cheap as possible but fun and interesting.IMG_1110.jpgIMG_1109.jpgIMG_1108.jpg
Will have a different tank and a stretched frame as of tomorrow. Just sat the j tank on for the photo

Hate to say it but you've put it together upside down.
If i'm elected PM, I'll build a bridge from Tasmania for Dex to escape over.

    Cheers, Dex.
Haven't lowered the forks yet. Going to assemble completely before I decide on ride height.

Have to cut off tabs and move the front of the tank up to match the frame. Will try making the seat and foot brake pin today. Then get to making a battery and wiring box. I hate waiting on parts.

Only 100mm. Gives it enough to know it's different but not too much to have to extend wiring loom etc... also gets the motor away from the wheel.

Unfortunately I'm still trying to talk myself into justifying buying a lathe. Uncle lives next door and has one so I use that when I don't use the work CNC lathe.

Yeah slowly expanding the helmet collection. They're great art.

Well I finished up at 2am this morning, unfinished, but loaded up at 6:30 and headed out to the show. Won best bike. Nothing but positive comments on it. Absolutely loving how it's turning out but still a lot of fiddling to do and minor parts I forgot.

Not my cup of tea but you've done excellent job in super short time frame.

Never really thought about flipping the brake arm, Dexalot... I'll have a play around with it.
When I was building it with the other wheels on it I had stretched trail wings and it looked mad so I got the wider rear to suit.
The seat was a rush job, white or black piping was the choice, the mrs shaped the foam for me and a local trimmer made the cover. The more I look at it the more I like the black and white on the bike. Fingers crossed I may have it registered in a few weeks once I source what I need to finish. It's surprisingly comfortable, too.

Slap on mirrors and a side stand and it will be registered. Has been sitting waiting for me to get back to it.
Will lower the front and dream up a front mud guard at some stage. Try fill the void a bit.

    Worth no more than $120...
Will only need front guard. Have been informed that rear guards aren't necessary. I'll just throw a jz one I have for reg inspection. May paint up an A one eventually.

Definitely looks great without guards, the plod up here are all over the no guard thing (fender eliminator) and booking people left right and centre for it where it doesnt meet the new code.

I got booked for no chain guard on my big bike - but I was getting booked for something from that guy. Absolutely no doubt about it - he just needed to figure out what.
