    Smile Customers TB108 Dyno Results

    I was emailed these dyno results by a customer from his TB108cc dyno tune that shows the initial set-up dyno results as well as the hi-lighted results after changing to an Over up pipe and Yoshi MJN-24mm flat slide.

    - Stage 1 Starting Point:

    Max Power - 10.2 and Max Torque - 5.95

    1982 Honda Z50JZ

    6v TB108 with Race Head

    4 Speed AHP Transmission

    TB Manual Clutch

    Taki Z Style Exhaust

    Mikuni 22mm Carb


    - Stage 2 Upgrade: (Hi-Lighted)

    Max Power 10.00 and Max Torque - 5.94

    1982 Honda Z50JZ

    6v TB108 with Race Head

    4 Speed AHP Transmission

    TB Manual Clutch

    Over Up-Pipe

    Yoshi MJN 24mm Carb

    What would be the total for these parts? Just pulled my 6v gorilla out for a future chine conversation before I add a Honda engine in a better state of tune.

    So it lost power & torque with the upgrade
    ​Too many bikes, not enough ride days.

    I thought that it would have improved a lot more especially with the Yoshi MJN carb, I do prefer the Over down pipe if you are looking for power.

    Picked up some power till 8000 rpm then tapered off a bit but kept going then for a tad longer but in the fizzle out stage.

    Also picked up torque just about all over but still not much of an improvement for the additional investment.

    Goes to show it can come down to the combo of parts , not the combo of cost .

    it would be good to see this engine with a 12 volt upgrade, be interesting to see the difference.

    hopefully he does it and sends in some stats.

    Unfortunately it got stolen not long after that was done.
    It did have one of those electronic ignition stators to get rid off the points.
