Z50A Horn and Bracket

I was asked for some details about hardtail horns so I thought I would start a thread with pictures and a life-size template.
You may have to do some photo-shop magic yourself to get it to lifesize. Hope this helps.

It's made of 2mm steel.

If you need the actual horn bit, just search "Mitsuba 6V Horn" on the world famous auction site, and you'll find them with the wrong bracket, they should be about AU$25-AU$40 from anywhere in Asia.

btw, saw you hooning the burbs again today on this green machine! yep that was me waving at you on the 4wheel. Does this green z have the original exhaust on it? sounds louder than I thought an original would sound.

A lot of wives waved to me today too, yeah it's an aftermarket exhaust. Very quiet at idle but loud on the move.

hey paulie, can you put up some measurements for the x-axis as well

for both the front/back holes width/centres etc

and also the thickness of the plate..

Done. And the thickness of the plate is 2mm

The plate also has a taper from the centre to the skinny end. I put that measurement in too. I don't have a protractor so can't measure any angles.

You know all you really have to do is print this picture, photocopy or whatever so that it is 80mm x 65mm and glue it to a piece of 2mm steel and then cut it out and bend it on the dotted line. Because all the bolts/screws that go into it need grommets, one mm here or there won't really be too much of a drama. But I've still taken care in measuring because if this is going to be the template it's got to be spot on right?
