  • Shiftup Stator Plate

    Hey all,

I have a Gorilla with a Scut 106, 4v head, Superclutch and super street rotor.

It revs pretty well and I'd be lying if I said I don't spin it pretty hard.

I've looked at these stator plates - but couldn't find much on them. The idea is that the bearing helps to stabilize the crank at high revs.

Here's a few photos incase anyone else in in the same boat.

I'd have to say - it's possibly too pretty to put in the motor - and the machine work is top notch.

A certain Tasmanian may not cope.

The intent is to install it over the weekend. I'll report back after I have.

        nice bit of gear
You have two parts of brain, 'left' and 'right'. In the left side, there's nothing right. In the right side, there's nothing left.

From memory there were compatibility issues between this plate and the Takegawa Super Street rotor. It was a while ago, and can't remember what the actual issue was, but maybe they have updated the design.

That being said, I am running one of these on my Daytona DOHC using a CF Posh rotor. Liked the idea of this rather than the Takegawa cover with the bearing as I wanted to keep the Honda engine cover.
