Sometimes the tool you need is not available or it's to expensive buy, so if you can you make it. I needed a copper hammer for rebuilding cranks, I have a big one which is about 4kg far to heavy to hit cranks with and also a small one about 0.5kg (pictured) So I converted an old plastic/rubber combo hammer to copper by machining a couple of copper bungs to screw in place of the plastic etc, it weighs about 1.5kg. The next one has a large flat face and is good for flattening and handy for streching metal over a forming bar. The last is the most useful of the lot when hammering the inside of a vessel where you need that bit of extra length between the handle and the hammer face.
