  • Aftermarket Hubs vs OEM hubs

    Hi,

I am looking at purchasing new aftermarket hubs rather than rebuilding
    old Z50 hubs.

Can anyone point out any potential issues I might find with the aftermarket
    hubs? Spacers/fitment etc.

    Thanks,
    Ray

As far as I have found, there's no differences between them phisicaly, maybe different quality alloy. I've never had an aftermarket one fail in any way, but I've only been playing with them for 93 years.
I usually swap the playdoh ball bearings out for real metal ones.
Once I thought I was wrong, I was mistaken

I have found the brake shaft is slightly different, it won't take stock arm.

Just use a bigger hammer, it'll fit

I've used plenty of them with no issues.
You can wind out the studs and use bolts for clearance on Hardtails.

I've got some j1 hubs if you need. Would probably need new bearings and seals.

$300 plus post but I have to give first dibs to Ray.
