    Always good to have Saturday to work on the z50a. Almost complete with new sla battery and rear wiring done. Rear brakes done.Original chain put back on. Just headlights seat and tank to go.

      Interesting when I removed the battery side cover bracket it had a rubber plug that kept the side cover firm. I have never seen this before. Great Honda quality in 1972 ! I painted the bracket before putting back See photo

        Note rear brake has that extra return spring - quite a challenge to install

          Next weekend it will be finished and sadly ready for sale. It was a privilege to work on a bike that was in such fantastic condition. Everything loosened easily and went back easily as it was all straight and Not rusted. Also all original torque specs helped.

            The tank was resprayed because os scratch. Check out that condition inside after 47 years.
